Waco, Tx has been selected as a site for LPGA-USGA Girls Golf, a nationwide developmental golf program that encourages girls ages 7 to 17 to learn to play golf, build friendships, and sample competition in a supportive and positive learning environment.

New to Waco Texas and hosted by Lake Waco Golf Club, LPGA-USGA Girls Golf is one of over 130 sites located around the United States. 

Gwen Parmer will serve as the site director for LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Waco, as a part of the national LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program, which is largest developmental golf program in the nation exclusively for girls.  It is organized and implemented through a partnership between the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and the United States Golf Association (USGA).

LPGA-USGA Girls Golf was originally established in Phoenix AZ, in 1989 by LPGA T&CP member Sandy LaBauve and became a national initiative of the LPGA in 1994. LPGA-USGA Girls Golf is a program of the LPGA Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization and the USGA.
